Apples To Apples - Boutique Treats Pricing

In our fast and furious American culture where convenience is king, it is sometimes difficult to get our heads around other areas of value.  I really appreciate when the things in my life are made affordable and simplified, but cheap and fast are not the only things that drive my decisions.  In large grocery stores with thousands of options, the prize often goes to the cheapest bidder - but the cheapest choice is not always the best choice.  Some things are created with superior quality and processes that really elevate their value. For example, an all-natural, organic apple chip is not the same thing as an artificially flavored "apple chip" that is really just flavored chemicals that have been pressed together.  They aren't the same thing and they don't carry the same value. They won't be priced the same way, because they are not the same product.

At Boutique Treats we do not strive to find the cheapest and fastest way to pump out products filled with artificial flavors and chemicals. We strive to produce a high quality, all-natural product that will enhance your life in a creative and healthy way.  There is no factory. There is no bulk distribution warehouse. Therefore, we don't have grocery store prices. We aren't selling the same thing.  An 8lb bag of white, refined sugar costs about $6.00.  If that's what we were selling, we would be crazy to price things the way we do. But we aren't just selling sugar.  We are creating value.


Our Specialty Sugars are priced at $13.00 per jar. 
16 oz jar = 80 1 tsp servings
$13.00 per jar = .16 cents per serving
That's 16 cents to flavor your coffee with something that is 100% unique, natural, and made to order. You simply cannot find this kind of value on a grocery store shelf.  

Likewise, our Texas Chili Mix is priced at $17.00 a jar.
16 oz jar = 8 quarter cup servings
$17.00 jar = $2.13 per serving
That's $2.13 to season your pot of chili without the use of any chemicals or preservatives!  That price is comparable to a one-time-use seasoning packet, but the quality and nutritional value far exceed it.
